Travel NICU RN in Eureka, CA

A Travel Neonatal Intensive Care Registered Nurse will care for neonates in an acute care hospital on a 26-week contract in Eureka, California. The unit is a Level II NICU with 5 beds, an average daily census of 4, Epic charting, and support for CPAP, UAC/UVC lines, and high-flow therapy.

• Monitor neonates in a Level II NICU
• Assist with stabilization and transfer preparation for infants needing higher care
• Manage CPAP and high-flow respiratory support
• Maintain UAC and UVC lines
• Support high-risk deliveries and neonatal resuscitation
• Provide breastfeeding support and handle expressed breast milk
• Document care in Epic

• California Registered Nurse license
• BLS and NRP
• 2 years of NICU experience
• Experience with neonates 29 to 34 weeks and greater than 34 weeks
• UAC and UVC management
• Ventilator management, including AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP

• STABLE
• Eat, sleep, console
• Previous charge experience
