Travel Medical Assistant in Marina Del Rey, CA

A Travel Medical Assistant Medical Assistant will support outpatient clinic care in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Marina Del Rey, California. Epic is used for charting, and the role centers on rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, venipuncture, and patient communication.

• Room patients and record histories, medications, and allergies
• Obtain vital signs, pulse oximetry, and height and weight
• Perform venipuncture and collect routine specimens
• Prepare authorization forms and insurance verification tasks
• Handle telephone triage, follow-up calls, and refill requests
• Support immunization, lab review, and point-of-care testing workflows

• High school diploma or GED
• Medical Assistant diploma from a DAPIP accredited program
• BLS from AHA or ARC
• 1 year of outpatient clinic experience
• Venipuncture proficiency

• Epic charting system experience
• CMA
• Internal medicine, general family practice, or neurology clinic experience
• EKG/ECG, wound care, strep testing, and urinalysis support
