Travel Medical Assistant in Los Angeles, CA

A Travel Medical Assistant will support an outpatient clinic on a 13-week contract in Los Angeles, California. It serves adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics and uses Epic charting.

• Room patients and gather histories, medications, and allergies
• Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and pulse oximetry
• Assist with casting, dressing changes, suture removal, and venipuncture
• Support telephone triage, refill calls, and patient follow-up
• Complete authorization forms and insurance verification tasks
• Label specimens and prepare patients for clinic visits

• 1 year of outpatient clinic experience
• Medical Assistant diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program
• BLS certification
• High school diploma or GED
• Epic charting system experience
• Clinical skills in rooming patients, vital signs, and pulse oximetry

• Orthopedics clinic experience
• Casting, dressing change, suture removal, and wound care skills
• Authorization, insurance verification, specimen labeling, and telephone triage experience
