Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Los Angeles, CA

A Travel Med Surg / Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide direct care for patients in an acute care hospital in Los Angeles, California on a 26-week contract. The unit serves adolescents through geriatrics, uses Allscripts charting, and supports cardiac monitoring and respiratory care. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond to changes
• Care for patients after cardiac procedures
• Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration
• Provide ventilator, oxygen and airway support
• Administer IV therapy, blood products and line care
• Use rapid response skills and dysrhythmia management
• Support wound, drain and renal care

• California Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS and NIHSS
• Two years of telemetry experience
• Epic charting experience
• Relias EKG test and onsite EKG competency

• Accessing and managing ports
• Arterial blood gas interpretation
• Neuro stepdown, PCU, DOU or IMC experience
• Tracheostomy care and management
