Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Los Angeles, CA

A Travel Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide bedside care for adolescent to geriatric patients in an acute care hospital in Los Angeles, California on a 26-week contract. The unit averages 36 beds, uses Allscripts charting, and cares for chronic ventilator patients. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond to dysrhythmias
• Provide care for chronic ventilator patients and tracheostomy support
• Manage IV therapy, central lines, PICCs and blood products
• Administer cardiac, vasoactive and heparin infusions
• Assist with post-cardiac, respiratory and renal care
• Coordinate rapid response and emergency support

• California Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS and NIHSS
• 2 years of telemetry experience
• Epic experience
• Ventilator patient care, telemetry rhythm interpretation and IV management

• Accessing and managing ports
• Arterial blood gas interpretation
• Neuro stepdown experience
• Allscripts charting system experience
