Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Downey, CA

A Travel Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse will care for med-tele, CVA, TIA, and overflow patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Downey, California. The unit averages 36 patients a day, uses Allscripts charting, and serves adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.

• Monitor telemetry and identify rhythm changes
• Provide care for stroke, telemetry, and medical-surgical patients
• Administer medications, blood products, and IV insulin per protocol
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, peripheral IVs, and ports
• Support feeding tubes, CBI, and hemodialysis-related care
• Assist with oxygen therapy, tracheostomy care, and non-invasive airway support
• Perform wound, drain, and chest tube care

• California Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• 2 years of Med Surg/Telemetry experience
• Allscripts charting system experience
• Previous charge experience
• Teaching hospital experience
