Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Asheville, NC

A Travel Med Surg / Telemetry Registered Nurse will care for adult med-surg and telemetry patients in a hospital on a 13-week contract in Asheville, North Carolina. The unit has 34 beds, uses Cerner, and is part of a Level II trauma center and Magnet designated hospital.

• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition
• Assess adult med-surg patients and escalate acuity concerns appropriately
• Administer IV fluids and IV antibiotics as ordered
• Support tube feeding and PEG feeding care
• Communicate clearly with charge nurse, providers and rapid response resources
• Collaborate with CNAs and nursing peers to maintain safe patient care

• Active Registered Nurse license in North Carolina
• Basic Life Support certification
• Telemetry rhythm interpretation skills
• Critical thinking and time management skills
• Strong communication skills
• Completion of an accredited nursing program

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification
