Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Asheville, NC

A Travel Med Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse will care for adult med surg telemetry patients in a hospital in Asheville, North Carolina on a 13-week contract. The unit has 34 beds, uses Cerner, and typically staffs day assignments at 1:4-6 in a Magnet hospital with level II trauma and comprehensive stroke designations.

• Monitor telemetry rhythms and report changes in patient condition
• Assess med surg patients and respond to changes in acuity
• Administer IV fluids, IV antibiotics, tube feeds and PEG feedings
• Coordinate care with the charge nurse, provider and rapid response team
• Support CNAs and other nurses to keep care moving safely
• Document care accurately and communicate clearly with the team

• Active North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• Current BLS certification
• Telemetry rhythm interpretation and adult med surg assessment skills
• Critical thinking, time management and communication skills

• ACLS certification
