Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Anchorage, AK

A Travel Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse will care for ortho, neuro, telemetry, and general medical patients in an acute hospital on a 13-week contract in Anchorage, Alaska. The 36-bed unit uses Epic and serves adolescents, adults, and geriatrics in a Magnet, Level II trauma hospital. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Assess and monitor medical surgical and telemetry patients
• Administer medications, IV therapy, insulin, heparin, and blood products
• Manage telemetry monitoring and respond to rhythm changes
• Provide wound care, drain care, ostomy care, and post-op support
• Maintain IV access, central lines, PICCs, ports, and feeding tubes
• Support respiratory care, isolation precautions, and rapid response needs

• Active Alaska Registered Nurse license
• 1 year of med surg and telemetry experience
• BLS certification

• Chest tubes and high flow nasal cannula
• Spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and total joint replacement care
• Charge experience, rapid response team use, and Epic charting experience
