Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Columbia, SC

A Travel Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide care for hospitalized older adults in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Columbia, South Carolina. The unit provides telemetry-capable care for adults and geriatrics, uses Epic, and typically staffs at 1:5.

• Provide telemetry-capable medical surgical care for older adults
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to dysrhythmias
• Start and maintain IV access and manage central, peripheral, and PICC lines
• Administer blood products and follow heparin protocols
• Support geriatric mobility, cognition, and recovery goals
• Document nursing care and patient response in Epic

• Active South Carolina Registered Nurse license or multistate Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• 1 year of medical surgical telemetry experience
• 1 year of Epic experience
• Blood product administration, IV starts, central, peripheral, and PICC line management, heparin protocols, and dysrhythmia interpretation and management

• Port access and management
• PCA experience
• Charge nurse experience
