Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Columbia, SC

A Travel Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse will care for hospitalized adults age 65 and older in a hospital telemetry unit in Columbia, South Carolina on a 13-week contract. The unit has 26 beds, uses Epic, and is part of a teaching hospital with Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma designation. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor telemetry rhythms and report changes
• Administer blood products and follow heparin protocols
• Start and maintain IV access
• Manage central, peripheral, and PICC lines
• Provide geriatric-focused medical surgical care
• Support mobility, recovery, and discharge planning

• Active South Carolina or multistate Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and NIH Stroke Scale
• 1 year of Med Surg Telemetry experience
• 1 year of Epic experience
• Central, peripheral, and PICC line management skills
• Blood product administration and dysrhythmia management skills

• Port access and management
• Patient-controlled analgesia experience
• Charge nurse experience
