Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Greenville, SC

A Travel Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide postoperative care for adult and geriatric surgical patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Greenville, South Carolina. The 32-bed unit uses Epic and supports a 5-patient assignment. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Assess surgical patients and monitor telemetry
• Administer medications and support symptom control
• Manage PICC lines, drains, ostomies and wound vacs
• Coordinate care for general surgery, ENT, plastics, oncology and colorectal patients
• Monitor for complications and report changes promptly
• Collaborate with therapy, respiratory, pharmacy and other support teams

• Active South Carolina Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS and NIHSS
• 2 years of Med Surg experience
• Med Surg/Telemetry experience
• 1 year of Epic experience
• Experience with 5-patient assignments

• Wound vac, drain and ostomy care
• Central line, PICC and peripheral IV management
• Chest tube, feeding tube and heparin protocol experience
• Oxygen therapy, non-invasive airway support and trauma care
