Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Anchorage, AK

A Travel Med Surg / Telemetry Registered Nurse will care for adult medical and surgical patients on a medical-surgical telemetry unit in Anchorage, Alaska on a 26-week contract. The acute hospital is Magnet-designated, Level II trauma, uses Epic, and has a 34-bed unit with 1:6 RN ratios and a virtual nursing model. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor telemetry and dysrhythmias
• Provide care for adult medical and surgical patients
• Support admissions, discharges, and patient education
• Administer oxygen therapy and airway support
• Maintain peripheral lines and isolation precautions
• Respond to rapid response and code situations
• Collaborate with RN, CNA, and care teams

• Pending Alaska Registered Nurse license
• BLS
• 1 year of medical-surgical telemetry experience
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Rapid Response/code team use, oxygen therapy, and non-invasive airway support
• Peripheral line care, isolation precautions, and charting system experience
