Travel Med Surg RN in Nashville, TN

A Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will care for trauma med-surg patients in an acute care hospital in Nashville, Tennessee on a 13-week contract. The unit has 34 beds, a 6:1 ratio, Meditech charting, and comprehensive stroke, ACS verified level II trauma, and chest pain center designations.

• Prioritize care for trauma med-surg patients
• Complete bedside handoff and patient education
• Start IVs and maintain access
• Monitor telemetry, pulse oximetry, and pumps
• Manage surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
• Provide basic wound care and support mobility
• Work with tech and secretary support on the unit

• Active Tennessee Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• Med Surg nursing experience
• IV starts, wound care, and drain management
• Ability to prioritize care and multitask
