Travel Med Surg RN in Nashville, TN

A Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will provide direct bedside care in a neuro medical surgical hospital unit in Nashville, Tennessee on a 13 week contract. The 20-bed unit serves adult patients, uses Meditech charting, and has a 1:6 ratio with tech support. The hospital is stroke certified and a level II trauma center.

• Provide bedside care for medical surgical and neuro patients
• Monitor telemetry, oxygen levels, and patient status
• Start IVs and support wound care
• Assist with surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
• Use bedside reporting and include patients in care planning
• Document care accurately in the charting system

• Active Tennessee Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support certification
• Medical surgical nursing experience
• Experience with IV starts, wound care, and drain management
