Travel Med Surg RN in Nashville, TN

A Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse will provide bedside care in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Nashville, Tennessee. The unit uses Meditech, has a 6:1 patient ratio, and supports stroke, trauma, and chest pain care with telemetry and assistive technology.

• Assess and monitor medical-surgical patients
• Administer medications and IV therapies
• Start IVs and manage vascular access
• Provide wound care and post-operative nursing support
• Manage surgical drains, nasogastric tubes and chest tubes
• Document care in Meditech and coordinate with the care team

• Active Tennessee Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• Med Surg experience
• Ability to prioritize care and multitask
• IV insertion skills
• Wound care, drain, nasogastric tube and chest tube management
