Travel Med Surg RN in Nashville, TN

A Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse will provide care on a trauma med surg unit in Nashville, Tennessee for a 13-week contract. The unit has 34 beds, a 6:1 patient ratio, Meditech charting, and a Level II trauma designation with stroke and chest pain services.

• Assess and monitor adult trauma and med surg patients
• Administer medications and IV therapy as ordered
• Start IVs and manage surgical drains, nasogastric tubes and chest tubes
• Track telemetry, pulse oximetry and other bedside monitoring
• Perform wound care and support bedside shift report
• Coordinate care with techs and unit support staff

• Active Tennessee Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• Med Surg experience
• Ability to prioritize care and multitask
• IV start, wound care and drain management skills
