Travel Med Surg RN in Nashville, TN

A Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse will care for neuro medical-surgical patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Nashville, Tennessee. The 20-bed unit uses Meditech and serves a 6:1 patient ratio with stroke and trauma designations.

• Assess and monitor neuro medical-surgical patients
• Administer medications and IV therapy
• Start IVs and support telemetry and pulse oximetry
• Manage wound care, surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
• Document care in Meditech
• Provide bedside shift report and coordinate care with patients and families

• Active Tennessee Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• Med-surg nursing experience
• Ability to prioritize care and multitask
• IV start skills
• Basic wound care and tube management skills
