Travel Med Surg RN in Chattanooga, TN

A Travel RN - Med Surg Registered Nurse will provide bedside care in an acute care hospital for a 13-week contract in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This 30-bed unit uses Meditech and serves medical-surgical patients at a 1:6 ratio with support from coordinators, a unit secretary, PCTs and case management.

• Assess and monitor medical-surgical patients
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy
• Care for patients with respiratory, renal and GI conditions
• Support telemetry, CVC care, indwelling catheters and heparin infusions
• Document patient care in the electronic record
• Collaborate with the care team to promote safe, coordinated care

• Tennessee Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• Medical-surgical nursing experience
• Experience with telemetry, CVCs, indwelling catheters and heparin infusions
• Strong teamwork, compassion, communication and collaboration skills
