Travel Med Surg RN in Chattanooga, TN

A Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse will provide inpatient care on a medical-surgical unit in Chattanooga, Tennessee for a 13-week contract. The unit has 30 beds, a 1:6 ratio, Meditech charting, and support from coordinators, a unit secretary, PCTs, and case management.

• Assess medical-surgical patients and prioritize nursing care
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and heparin infusions as ordered
• Monitor respiratory, renal, gastrointestinal, and telemetry conditions
• Manage central lines, indwelling catheters, walkers, and SCDs
• Collaborate with coordinators, case management, and unit support staff
• Document assessments, interventions, and responses in Meditech
• Support patient education and communication board use

• Current Tennessee Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• Medical-surgical nursing experience with respiratory, renal, gastrointestinal, telemetry, central line, indwelling catheter, and heparin infusion care
• Teamwork, communication, compassion, and collaboration skills
