Travel Maternal-Newborn RN in Overland Park, KS

A Travel Maternal-Newborn Registered Nurse will provide postpartum and newborn care in a hospital on a 13-week contract in Overland Park, Kansas. The unit has 26 beds, uses CPN and Meditech, and serves postpartum, LDRP, well baby nursery, and recovery patients.

• Assess postpartum and newborn patients for changes in condition and risk factors
• Monitor vital signs, glucose levels, and recovery status
• Provide discharge teaching, pain management, and patient education
• Document care in CPN and Meditech
• Assist with newborn care and support births for baby
• Assist with circumcisions and unit workflow needs

• Active Registered Nurse license in Kansas
• BLS certification
• NRP certification
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Postpartum, LDRP, well baby nursery, and recovery experience
• Strong assessment, prioritization, and time management skills

• BSN
