Travel Maternal-Newborn RN in Austin, TX

A Travel Maternal Newborn Registered Nurse will care for postpartum women and occasional antepartum patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Austin, Texas. The unit has a separate nursery, NICU capability, and uses CPN and Meditech with 1:5 to 1:6 ratios.

• Perform maternal assessments and monitor postpartum recovery needs
• Admit and discharge patients and reinforce care instructions
• Coordinate education on postpartum care and follow-up
• Manage postpartum pain and comfort needs
• Provide nursing support for occasional antepartum patients
• Use bedside equipment for routine monitoring and screening
• Collaborate with charge nurses and the care team

• Current Texas Registered Nurse license
• 2 years of postpartum experience
• Level 4 NICU experience
• Strong maternal assessment and patient education skills

• Antepartum patient experience
• CPN experience
• Meditech experience
