Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Kodiak Island, AK

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will support obstetric care and deliveries in a hospital unit on a 26-week contract in Kodiak Island, Alaska. The small unit has 4 beds, averages about 10 deliveries per month, and uses Epic charting. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Triage obstetrical patients
• Assist with labor, vaginal delivery, and cesarean birth care
• Monitor fetal heart patterns, maternal status, and uterine response
• Provide postpartum, couplet, and newborn care
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood products
• Support breastfeeding, discharge teaching, and parent education

• Alaska Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications
• 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
• Labor and delivery skills in obstetrical triage, fetal monitoring, vaginal delivery, cesarean delivery, and newborn care

• AWHONN Advanced certification
• Amnioinfusion, internal fetal monitoring, and IUPC placement
• Epic charting system experience
