Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Hood River, OR

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will support labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care in a critical access hospital in Hood River, Oregon on a 13-week contract. The unit serves low-risk perinatal patients and level 1 nursery newborns, uses Epic, and is a teaching hospital with a Level III trauma designation. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn patients
• Assist with fetal monitoring and recognition of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Support triage of obstetrical patients and sterile vaginal exams
• Administer obstetrical medications and therapies, including magnesium sulfate and Pitocin
• Provide epidural support and external fetal monitoring care
• Collaborate with respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams

• Oregon Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support, Fetal Heart Monitoring, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program
• 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Experience with epidural anesthesia, magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin, and external fetal monitoring
• Experience with triage of obstetrical patients, sterile vaginal exams, NSTs, and abnormal fetal heart rate assessment
• Epic charting system experience
