Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Farmington, CT

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide care for high-risk obstetric patients in an acute care hospital ob/gyn unit on a 13-week contract in Farmington, Connecticut. The unit uses Epic and includes labor, antepartum, postpartum, triage, and operating room space, with ratios of 1:3 in labor and delivery and antepartum and 1:6 for mother/baby couplets.

• Assess high-risk labor and delivery patients
• Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor and recovery
• Provide antepartum, postpartum, and mother/baby couplet care
• Triage obstetric patients and respond to changes in condition
• Assist with deliveries, operative births, and unit procedures
• Document care and coordinate with the obstetric team in Epic

• Connecticut Registered Nurse license
• 5 years of high-risk labor and delivery experience
• Prior OB experience
• Prior travel experience
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring certification, including AWHONN fetal monitoring
• Basic dysrhythmia interpretation and EKG competency
