Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Austin, TX

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide care in a hospital labor and delivery unit on a 6 week contract in Austin, Texas. The unit manages more than 1,000 deliveries each month and uses Meditech. Patient care is supported by 1:1 and 1:2 assignments.

• Provide labor and delivery nursing care for high-volume maternal and newborn patients
• Monitor fetal and maternal status and respond to changing conditions
• Assist with C-section circulation and support vaginal delivery procedures
• Support cervical exams, TOLAC, and cerclage-related care as needed
• Use delivery room equipment and fetal monitoring tools during care
• Work with the charge nurse and care team to maintain safe patient flow

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• 2+ years of labor and delivery nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications
• SVE competency
• C-section circulation experience

• Internal monitor placement competency
• High-volume level IV unit experience
• Team-oriented approach
