Travel Intermediate Care RN in Denver, CO

A Travel Pediatric Intermediate Care Registered Nurse will care for pediatric step-down patients in an acute care hospital in Denver, Colorado, on a 13-week contract. The unit has 36 private rooms, uses Meditech and sees mixed ratios of 1:3 and 1:4 for children needing high-flow oxygen, spinal fusion and chest tube care.

• Assess and monitor pediatric step-down patients with mixed acuity
• Administer medications and support IV access, NGTs and Foley care
• Assist with chest tube management and recovery after spinal fusion
• Monitor respiratory status and support high-flow oxygen therapy
• Collect specimens and assist with phlebotomy and lumbar puncture care
• Coordinate with the care team and families to maintain safe treatment

• Colorado Registered Nurse license
• 1 year of current pediatric Registered Nurse experience
• Basic Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification
• Comfort with high-flow oxygen, spinal fusion and chest tube care

• Meditech experience
