Travel Intermediate Care RN in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Intermediate Care Registered Nurse will provide care for neuroscience stepdown patients in a hospital unit in Charlottesville, Virginia on a 13-week contract. The 12-bed unit serves neuro trauma, stroke, and post-operative neurosurgery patients and uses Epic charting.

• Monitor neurological status and telemetry trends
• Administer medications, blood products, and ordered drips without titration
• Provide care for neurosurgery, stroke, and trauma patients
• Support tracheostomy, lumbar drain, and line management
• Assist with seizure precautions and dysrhythmia response
• Coordinate care with therapy, respiratory, and rapid response teams

• Virginia Registered Nurse license, pending at start
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• 2 years of intermediate care, stepdown, or neuro experience
• Epic charting experience
• Telemetry, dysrhythmia, and drip management skills

• Arterial line management
• BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula support
• Feeding tube care, surgical drain care, and post-TPA monitoring
• IV insulin protocols
