Travel Intermediate Care RN in Arlington, VA

A Travel Intermediate Care Registered Nurse will care for adults in a pulmonary, cardiac, and trauma intermediate care unit on a 13-week contract in Arlington, Virginia. The unit uses Epic and typically works at a 1:4 ratio for patients needing ventilatory support and cardiac monitoring.

• Monitor telemetry and dysrhythmias
• Support ventilator, tracheostomy, BiPAP/CPAP, and high-flow oxygen care
• Assist with cardiac drips, heparin protocols, and rapid response needs
• Provide pre- and post-cardiac catheterization care
• Maintain central, peripheral, and PICC lines
• Deliver isolation precautions and med/surg overflow care

• Active Virginia or compact Registered Nurse license
• BLS and ACLS
• 2 years of PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience
• Ventilator and cardiac telemetry experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Charge RN role readiness

• Previous charge experience
• Peripheral nerve block catheters
• Starting and maintaining IVs
• Surgical drains
• Traumatic brain injury
• Wound care and wound vac
