About this job
A Travel Adult Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide critical care in a hospital adult ICU on a 13-week contract in Selma, Alabama. The unit cares for adults with cardiac, neurological, respiratory and trauma-related needs, with ventilators and other monitoring equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess adult critical care patients and plan nursing care
- Monitor vital signs, ventilators and other monitoring equipment
- Administer IV fluids and medications
- Assist physicians with procedures and life support
- Suction airways and respond to urgent changes in condition
- Educate families and coordinate with the critical care team
Qualifications
- Alabama Registered Nurse license or multistate Registered Nurse license
- ACLS and BLS through the American Heart Association
