Travel ICU RN in Pomona, CA

A Travel ICU Registered Nurse will care for critically ill patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Pomona, California. First-time travelers are welcome, and the unit serves stroke, neuro, cardiac, trauma and general ICU and telemetry patients in a Magnet, teaching Level II trauma hospital with Cerner charting.

• Monitor critically ill ICU and telemetry patients
• Manage ventilators, continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation monitoring
• Assess and respond to dysrhythmias and other acute changes
• Start and maintain IV access and infusions
• Coordinate care for stroke, neuro, cardiac, trauma and general critical care patients
• Document care in Cerner and communicate changes to the care team

• California Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS and NIHSS
• 2 years of ICU experience
• Experience with ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation and dysrhythmia management
• IV insertion and maintenance skills
• Prior travel experience

• Cerner charting system experience
• Previous charge experience
• Trauma Level I experience
• ICP monitoring experience
