Travel ICU RN in Downey, CA

A Travel Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will care for adults and geriatrics in an acute care hospital in Downey, California on a 15-week contract. The ICU/CCU uses Allscripts charting and serves complex cardiac, respiratory, and multisystem patients.

• Monitor hemodynamic and respiratory status
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Manage ventilator support, BiPAP, CPAP, and high flow nasal cannula
• Administer blood products, emergency medications, and IV insulin protocols
• Care for arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, and ports
• Assist with procedural sedation, chest tube care, and stroke management
• Support infection prevention, isolation precautions, and wound care

• California Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, CPI, MAB or VIP, and NIHSS certifications
• 3 years of ICU experience
• 1:2 patient ratio experience
• Allscripts charting system experience

• CCRN
• CVVHD/CRRT experience
• Pre- and post-cardiac cath or intervention experience
• Ultrasound PIV, Level 1, Rapid Infuser, or charge nurse experience
