Travel ICU RN in Cambridge, MA

A Travel Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide critical care for cardiothoracic surgery patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The unit uses Epic and cares for adults who may need advanced cardiac support devices.

• Monitor hemodynamic status and respond to changes in condition
• Manage IABP and Impella support with the care team
• Administer medications and blood products per critical care protocols
• Assess ventilated and high-acuity patients and perform ongoing neuro, cardiac and respiratory checks
• Care for cardiothoracic surgery patients recovering from invasive procedures
• Document care in Epic and coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary staff

• Massachusetts Registered Nurse license
• BLS-AHA and ACLS-AHA certifications
• 2+ years of ICU or similar critical care experience
• Epic charting experience
• Cardiothoracic surgery experience
• Experience with IABP and Impella devices
