Travel ICU RN in California

A Travel Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide critical care in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Burbank, California. The 38-bed unit serves medical, cardiac, and neuro ICU patients with Meditech charting and 1:2 ratios at a comprehensive stroke center.

• Monitor neurologic, cardiac, and respiratory status
• Titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips
• Manage ventilators, suctioning, and ABG interpretation
• Support CRRT, EVD, ICP monitoring, and advanced cardiac devices
• Maintain central lines, PICC lines, chest tubes, IV access, blood products, and isolation precautions
• Care for stroke, TBI, spinal cord injury, and multisystem organ dysfunction patients

• California Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• 1 year of ICU experience
• Meditech charting and prior travel experience
• Critical care skills in ventilator management, continuous IV sedation, drip titration, dysrhythmia and ABG interpretation, central and PICC care, blood products, renal failure, stroke, neuro, EVD, ICP monitoring, hypothermia protocol, chest tubes, suctioning, ports, IV insulin protocols, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, phlebotomy, infection prevention, isolation precautions, post-neurosurgery care, spinal cord injury, TBI, and multisystem organ dysfunction

• ECMO and IABP experience
• Arterial line and Swan Ganz monitoring
• Procedural sedation, sheath removal, and TAVR exposure
• Neuro ICU, surgical ICU, GI surgery, cardiac cath, and community hospital experience
