Travel ICU RN in Anchorage, AK

A Travel Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide critical care in an acute hospital in Anchorage, Alaska on a 13-week contract. The unit cares for adolescents, adults and geriatrics with medical cardiac, surgical cardiac, neuro, stroke, sepsis, respiratory failure and trauma patients, using Epic charting in a Magnet, Level II trauma setting.

• Monitor hemodynamics and respond to changes
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive infusions
• Assist with ventilator and airway management
• Support care for cardiac, neuro, stroke and trauma patients
• Manage lines, drains and invasive monitoring
• Administer medications and blood products

• Alaska Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS and NIHSS
• 2 years of intensive care unit experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Prior travel experience
• Arterial line, ventilator and vasoactive drip management

• TNCC and procedural sedation monitoring
• EVD, IABP and TAVR experience
• Post cardiac surgery and surgical intensive care unit experience
• Spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury care
