Travel Float RN in Los Angeles, CA

A Travel Float Registered Nurse will care for telemetry and medical-surgical patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Los Angeles, California. The unit has 36 beds, a 1:4 ratio, and a heavy orthopedic focus for adolescents through geriatrics. Charting is done in Allscripts.

• Monitor telemetry and report dysrhythmias
• Provide care for medical-surgical and orthopedic patients
• Support post-cardiac and post-procedure recovery
• Manage IV therapy, central lines, and PICC lines
• Administer blood products, heparin, and ordered drips
• Assist with respiratory support, chest tubes, and tracheostomy care
• Use rapid response support for changes in patient condition

• California Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• 3 years of telemetry experience
• Telemetry and medical-surgical nursing experience
• Total joint replacement and orthopedic trauma experience
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and IV therapy skills

• CVA care experience
• ABG interpretation
• Pre- and post-neurosurgery experience
• Allscripts charting system experience
