Travel ED RN in Wichita, KS

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in a fast-paced hospital unit on a 13-week contract in Wichita, Kansas. The unit uses Meditech, serves adult and pediatric patients, and typically works with a 3:1 ratio and team nursing for pediatrics. IV starts, medication support, and sedation care are part of the setting.

• Assess emergency patients and prioritize care
• Start IVs and administer medications
• Support sedation care and pediatric team nursing
• Monitor patients and coordinate with the care team
• Document care in Meditech and scan patient and medication barcodes
• Maintain safe, efficient patient flow in a busy emergency unit

• Active Kansas Registered Nurse license
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department Registered Nurse experience
• BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC, and CPI Blue Card
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program

• ENPC
• Meditech experience
• Experience in travel assignments or larger emergency departments
