Travel ED RN in Virginia

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency nursing care in a hospital unit on a 13-week contract in Richmond, Virginia. The 25-bed unit uses 4:1 ratios that can rise to 5:1 during surges, with MediTech Expanse charting, GE monitors, Baxter pumps and Zoll travel monitors.

• Triage and prioritize emergency patients
• Monitor patient status and respond to acute changes
• Administer medications and IV therapies per orders
• Assist with emergency procedures and stabilization
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes
• Collaborate with physicians and support staff to coordinate care

• Active Virginia Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC certifications
• Emergency Department nursing competencies
• Strong assessment, triage and communication skills
