Travel ED RN in San Jose, CA

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in a hospital emergency department on a 13-week contract in San Jose, California. The unit uses Meditech charting, serves varied acuity patients, and follows 4:1 ratios, with critical care patients at 1:1 or 2:1. It also functions as a stroke and STEMI center.

• Assess emergency patients and prioritize care
• Monitor and stabilize high-acuity patients
• Support stroke and STEMI workflows
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team
• Document care in Meditech

• California Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• 3-5 years of Emergency Department experience in an acute care hospital
• Emergency department assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills

• Charge nurse experience
• Prior travel or interim emergency department experience in California
