About this job

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in a hospital emergency department on a 12-week contract in San Jose, California. The unit has 36 beds, uses Meditech charting, and serves varied emergency patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and triage emergency patients
  • Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in condition
  • Administer medications and provide acute nursing interventions
  • Support stroke and STEMI care pathways
  • Collaborate with the care team and communicate patient status
  • Document care in the electronic health record

Qualifications

  • California Registered Nurse license
  • 3 to 5 years of Emergency Department experience in an acute care hospital
  • PALS, ACLS, and BLS

Preferred Skills

  • Charge nurse experience
  • Prior travel or interim experience in California
