Travel ED RN in Portland, OR

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in a short term acute care hospital in Portland, Oregon on a 13-week contract. The unit sees adults, pediatrics, neonates, and geriatrics, uses Epic, and manages medical boarding and behavioral health cases.

• Triage emergency patients and prioritize care by acuity
• Assess and stabilize adults and children with medical, trauma, and behavioral health needs
• Start and maintain IV access, obtain blood specimens, and give emergency medications
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, obtain 12-lead ECGs, and support dysrhythmia care
• Manage psychiatric holds, suicidal patients, and violent behavior
• Monitor procedural sedation and provide care for ventilated patients

• Oregon Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
• 2 years of emergency department experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Emergency triage, IV therapy, dysrhythmia, and behavioral health skills

• TNCC
• Pediatric emergency department experience
• Stroke-certified or STEMI-certified facility experience
