Travel ED RN in Portland, OR

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in a short term acute care hospital in Portland, Oregon on a 13-week contract. It serves neonates through geriatrics, uses Epic charting, and has about 4:1 ratios with stroke and STEMI certification.

• Triage and prioritize emergency patients across all age groups
• Assess and stabilize patients with medical, behavioral health, stroke, STEMI, trauma, overdose, and psychiatric needs
• Start and maintain IV access, draw blood, and obtain 12-lead ECGs
• Administer medications, blood products, and emergency treatments
• Monitor ventilated patients, sedated patients, and patients on psychiatric hold
• Coordinate care with respiratory therapy, rapid response, radiology, pharmacy, and social services

• Oregon Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
• 2 years of emergency department experience
• Epic charting system experience

• TNCC
• Trauma, stroke, and STEMI care experience
• Behavioral health and pediatric emergency care experience
