Travel ED RN in Overland Park, KS

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency nursing care in a hospital emergency department on a 6-week contract in Overland Park, Kansas. The unit has 24 beds, uses Meditech charting, and serves a 1:4 patient ratio in a level 2 trauma setting.

• Triage and prioritize emergency patients
• Assess, monitor, and stabilize patients with trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis needs
• Administer medications and support emergency interventions
• Assist with trauma and critical care procedures
• Document care in the charting system and maintain accurate records
• Communicate with patients, families, and the care team using AIDET and service standards

• Current Kansas Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale
• 2 years of emergency or trauma nursing experience in a level 2 trauma center

• CEN certification
• TCRN certification
• CPI training
