Travel ED RN in Kodiak Island, AK

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in a hospital emergency department on a 13-week contract in Kodiak Island, Alaska. The unit sees neonates through geriatrics, uses Epic, and is a six-bed setting with an average daily census of 10 and Level IV trauma coverage.

• Assess emergency patients across all age groups
• Monitor dysrhythmias and ventilated patients
• Administer and observe procedural sedation
• Establish and maintain IV access
• Assist with phlebotomy and specimen collection
• Stabilize high-acuity patients in a trauma setting
• Coordinate care with respiratory, radiology and rapid response teams

• Alaska Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS and PALS
• 1 year of emergency department experience
• Previous charge experience
• Ventilator care, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Procedural sedation monitoring, phlebotomy, and IV initiation and maintenance

• TNCC
• Continuous IV sedation experience
