Travel ED RN in Houston, TX

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will care for emergency patients in a hospital emergency unit on a 13-week contract in Houston, Texas. The unit has 9 beds, uses Meditech Expanse, and works with point-of-care lab equipment and ventilator support.

• Assess and stabilize emergency patients
• Start and manage IV access and blood draws
• Obtain and monitor EKGs and point-of-care labs
• Assist with ventilator and BiPap support
• Administer emergency medications and treatments
• Collaborate with the care team on rapid changes in patient condition

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• 2 years of recent emergency room experience in a medium to high volume setting
• ACLS, PALS, CPR and TNCC
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Emergency care skills and strong clinical judgment
