Travel ED RN in Houston, TX

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in a freestanding emergency department in Houston, Texas on a 13-week contract. The unit has 9 beds, a 4:1 ratio, and uses Meditech Expanse. EKGs, IV placement, ventilator support, BiPap, and point-of-care labs are part of the work.

• Assess and stabilize patients with emergency needs
• Monitor cardiac and respiratory status
• Perform EKGs, start IV access, and obtain point-of-care labs
• Support ventilator and BiPap care
• Administer ordered treatments and medications
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team
• Document care in the electronic record

• Active Texas Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, PALS, CPR, and TNCC
• 2 years recent emergency department experience in a medium to high volume emergency department
• Strong emergency care, IV access, and patient monitoring skills

• CEN
