Travel ED RN in Dunn, NC

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in a short-term acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Dunn, North Carolina. The unit sees adults and children, uses Epic, and staffs 25 beds with 1:4 ratios in a Level III trauma teaching hospital. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Triage and prioritize emergency patients across adult and pediatric presentations
• Assess, stabilize, and monitor patients with trauma, medical, neurological, and behavioral emergencies
• Administer emergency medications, IV therapy, and blood products as ordered
• Support airway, ventilation, and procedural sedation care
• Obtain EKGs, labs, and specimens, and start and maintain IV access
• Manage dysrhythmias, seizure care, and other high-acuity interventions
• Promote safety for violent, suicidal, or psychiatric patients

• North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• 3 years of emergency department experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Prior travel experience

• TNCC
• NRP
• Previous charge experience
• Trauma Level I or Level II experience
