Travel ED RN in Dunn, NC

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in a 13-week contract at a hospital in Dunn, North Carolina. The unit has 25 beds, 17 rooms, about 62 daily visits, 1:4 ratios and Epic charting. It serves neonates through geriatrics in a Level III trauma teaching hospital, and first-time travelers are welcome.

• Perform triage and rapid assessments
• Monitor and care for mixed-acuity patients across all ages
• Start and maintain IV access and deliver ordered therapies
• Assist with dysrhythmia care, EKGs, blood products and sedation monitoring
• Support trauma, neurologic, respiratory and behavioral health emergencies
• Document care in Epic and coordinate with the care team

• North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS and NIHSS
• 3 years of emergency department experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Prior travel experience

• NRP and TNCC
• Previous charge experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Pediatric emergency department and Trauma Level I or II experience
