Travel ED RN in Columbia, SC

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in a free standing emergency department on a 13 week contract in Columbia, South Carolina. The unit has 14 rooms, including a resuscitation room, serves neonates through geriatrics, and uses Epic with phlebotomy and radiology support.

• Triage and prioritize adult and pediatric emergency patients
• Assess and stabilize patients with cardiac, neurologic, respiratory, trauma, and behavioral health needs
• Administer medications, blood products, IV therapy, and vasopressors
• Monitor rhythms, obtain 12-lead ECGs, and manage dysrhythmias
• Assist with intubation, procedural sedation, splints, and other emergency procedures
• Start IVs, collect specimens, and coordinate with phlebotomy and radiology
• Support safety precautions for violent, suicidal, or isolated patients

• South Carolina Registered Nurse license or compact license in hand
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• 2 years of emergency department experience
• Community hospital experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Prior travel experience

• BiPAP, CPAP, and ventilated patient care
• Level II trauma, orthopedic trauma, and traumatic amputation experience
• Chest tube management and charge nurse experience
