Travel ED RN in Columbia, SC

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in a free standing emergency department setting on a 13-week contract in Columbia, South Carolina. The unit has 14 rooms, uses Epic, and serves neonates through geriatrics.

• Triage and prioritize emergency patients
• Assess and stabilize patients across the lifespan
• Administer emergency medications, IV therapy, and blood products
• Monitor dysrhythmias and obtain 12 lead EKGs
• Assist with intubation, procedural sedation, and central line care
• Support care for trauma, neurologic, respiratory, behavioral health, and cardiac emergencies

• South Carolina or compact Registered Nurse license in hand prior to start
• Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and NIH Stroke Scale certification
• 2 years of emergency department experience
• Community hospital experience
• Epic charting experience
• Prior travel nursing experience

• BiPAP and CPAP management
• Ventilated patient care
• Chest tube management
• Charge nurse experience
